Kids Serving the Community

Our house is full of books and we love reading so we thought it would be great to share that love with people in our neighbourhood with a little library on our front lawn!

A little library can be built using some plans available online and kits can be ordered from https://littlefreelibrary.org/

We tapped into a local person by posting on a community Facebook page and he was able to build two boxes for us.  One is for adult books, and one is shorter for kids books!

We included bookmarks letting people know that they can feel free to take or leave books.

As adults, we do need to maintain the box since it is sometimes overfilled with donations.

A great way to encourage little readers in your area!
